Cortijo el Rosal is a delightful house with 3 en-suite bedrooms, combining the original Spanish beamed cortijo with a spacious, light sitting room and bedrooms. Set within a garden of fruit trees and shrubs away from the lane, it has a private pool and quiet patios for outside dining and relaxing. The house sleeps 5 comfortably with a double and a twin bedroom upstairs and a third single bedroom downstairs. The upstairs twin bedroom has a bath with shower over and the other two have showers.
The beamed kitchen has an electric oven and hob, Bosch fridge-freezer and dish washer, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, plenty of cupboards and granite worktops. It opens on to the large dining room with table, chairs and wood burner, double doors lead from here to the sitting room. This is a bright and airy room with two comfortable three seater sofas, satellite TV, video, CD player and a wood burner for cooler evenings. A door leads out to a patio overlooking the garden with views to the southern mountains, a lovely place to sit under an old floodlit olive tree for a barbecue and evening meal. There’s a covered porch to the front of the house where you can sit in the shade on hotter days.
A spiral staircase leads up from the dining room to the large bedrooms; the master bedroom with kingsize bed has a private balcony covered in wisteria and from the bed you can watch as the colours change on the mountains as the sun rises. Both bedrooms have wardrobes and chest of drawers. The downstairs third bedroom has twin beds and a large shower room.
In addition to the main house there is a one bedroom cottage, La Rosa, with sitting room, kitchen and bathroom that can sleep an additional 2 people. From April until the end of August the cottage is only let as additional accommodation for the main house. Please see the separate description of the cottage.
